I met Deb Barnes when i did my first horse photography shoot with her in the summer.
It was on White Rock beach with my horse, myself and my friend.
Deb made everything so soothing and easy going with no stress.
It was a beautiful and fun experience.
She made it so simple and let us do as we please and she just snapped away.
After that shoot we were dying to do more!
We went back once again in the summer with our horses and Deb and once again - A breeze!
I recommend Deb to anyone wanting horse photographs or pet pictures in general.
I have become good friends with Deb Barnes after these beautiful and amazing experiences.
I love photography myself and was in dire need of finding the perfect camera.

Ozzy may have been a 130lbs.
Brindle Bull Mastiff but he was our “Gentle Giant.”
He loved his walks on the beach and lying on his chair by the fireplace or in the sun. He may have looked intimidating, but the worst he would have done is drool on you. It did not matter if you knew him for 5 min or 5 years, he welcomed everyone he met.
Ozzy was a very loving, devoted, kind companion for seven years.
On December 26, 2009, my family and I took Ozzy to the beach for a walk. We met Deb that day and she took some beautiful pictures of our boy. What she did not know was that the next day we said goodbye to Ozzy as he had been suffering from an aggressive bone cancer for 3 months. He lived the life of a King for those three months.
Ozzy will live on forever, in our hearts and in our dreams.
Thank you Deb for taking such moving pictures of Ozzy on that special day.

I've always wanted some super fabulous pet photos done of me and my
best friend Jersey (aka Booberz, JackAss, Puppy Shmuppy Luppyhead).
It's all fine and dandy for Him to get in front of the camera, He KNOWS he's all that!
A little different to put Me there! So I was a little nervous about how the photos would turn out.
OMG! when I got them back , I couldn't believe how beautiful Jerz and I looked together!
The shoot was fun and hard work at the same time.
We shot at a few different locations so there would be lots of looks to choose from.
The results? Magic!
Deborah Barnes is an amazing Pet Photographer!
She has a really good eye for making people look fantastic as well!

We first met Deborah on the East beach of White Rock.

the intimate moments between horse and rider.

My friend’s best friend, (a Rottweiller named Gucci) was aging and not doing well.

Gucci passed away not long after - it was such a wonderful gift to give.

Since I was very little I have had a love affair with horses.
My dream was to one day ride on a beach. (Which was a bit of a problem as I lived in Banff!)
I now have a daughter who SURPRISE has a big love for horses too!
We met Deborah Barnes at East Beach in White Rock,
fearlessly taking these amazing shots of the horses racing along the beach.
When I saw the pictures I was moved to tears.
There running on the beach with her friends was our daughter, absolute JOY on her face, water splashing up everywhere…her friends laughing, I felt like I was there.
I felt ''like I could step'' into the picture!
Deborah's pictures leave you '' wanting more''.
She truly captured both the rider & horse’s Spirits.
